Editorial: Art Fist Issue Three editorial

Ho ho ho, and a non-denominational welcome to the Art Fist Winterval special.

Winterval, as we all know, starts as soon as the ‘Back 2 Skool’ sections in the supermarkets are replaced by selection boxes, plastic pine trees and tins of Miniature Heroes, and ends on 1st January when these are replaced by rows of chocolate eggs.

I love the Winterval lights around Leeds. Nothing makes me feel more festive than looking up at glowing shopping trolleys and footballers hanging over the city on a cold night. I suppose in a country which, on the whole, has lost its faith, lights which celebrate consumerism and football rather than themes which relate to the birth of some messiah may not be such a bad thing.

Did I mention that this is the Art Fist Winterval special? This means there are more articles and more pages than usual. So put your feet up, pull up a snowman and enjoy!

Welcome to Art Fist.
